Verifying education/degrees AFTER employment

Details: In fact, unless a student has specifically chosen otherwise (which is rare) anyone can call the registrar and ask about degrees granted to an individual and dates of attendance. @DLS3141: Most of the applications I've ever filled out have a clause that says you give them permission to verify anything you've claimed.

Bachelors degree (+- 16 years)

Details: I'd guess it's a typo and should just be (+16 years). If alternate educational levels with different numbers of years (eg associates and 18 years or masters and 14) that would reinforce my assumption. Some countries have 14 years of education for Bachelor degree, Probably the ad was asking for more of a regular bachelor degree.

Lied on resume about obtaining a Bachelor degree

Details: The best thing you can do at this point is to take this as a learning opportunity to remember these words: Do not lie, ever. Going forward, be clear to any potential employers that you attended the university but did not graduate. This is not necessarily the kiss of death and is in fact fairly common, but lying is.

Details: Education: 2008-2011, Stanford University, Management Science & Statistics (completed X of total Y credits) other education stuff, including certifications etc. IMHO it would be very honest total disclosure, and it allows you to be considered on strength of your skills and accomplishments, not education.

Does academic experience count on a job application

Details: There are many types of experience that play into a work/education history. You could absolutely qualify the experience you have by mentioning that it's in an academic setting. Consider any projects you've worked on in that environment. You could style a section of your resume as though your studies were a job, and your academic projects were

CV: Student work as education or work experience

Details: Show activity on this post. During my Bachelor and Master studies, I worked as student assistant at the university. The first job was teaching assistance (leading exercise courses, homework/exam grading). The second was research assistant (implementation of algorithms and experiment setups). I graduated some years ago and am working since then.

University renamed degree after I graduated

Details: Shortly after I graduated, they renamed the degree (but kept the same curriculum, required courses, etc) to Entrepreneurial Studies. This (in my opinion) is a little clearer in stating what the degree happens to involve. My understanding is that because my diploma has it phrased as "Visualizations" this is what my degree technically is, and how

Is it to soon to apply for an internal job posting

Details: The duration I have seen most often is 1 year. Check if your company has such a policy. If they do, follow it. If not, talk to HR and learn if there is an "informal policy". If no policy, then go ahead and apply. If you do go forward and apply, try not to do this too often. You may inadvertently end up coming across as someone who is high

Can I negotiate for tuition reimbursement

Details: Expect that they will require you to stay with the company for a specific number of years to compensate them for your extra benefit. If they provide more than $5,250 per year in educational benefits to you, the amount over $5,250 is taxable income. If they bump your salary, then it will all be taxable.

How do I address an incomplete masters degree on resume

Details: 1. This answer is not useful. Show activity on this post. With an active degree, you should just put the expected graduate date. If you completely dropped out of the degree program, you can put you completed your masters courses, but not the thesis. This is actually fairly common for people who dropped out of their PhD programs.

Abbreviation for bachelor's degree with minor
