What type of education does an EMT/Paramedic have

Details: Also, ideally, a college education has a certain amount of breadth course requirements (courses outside of the major) that I don't see many college based paramedic programs requiring. Also, some colleges host programs, but the programs aren't really a part of the host university. [gets on uppity elitist soap box] A paramedic at the UCLA

How important is all this education

Details: just so there is no confusion, I am not anti-education, nor do I think dumbing down the EMT/Medic/RN/MD program is a good idea. However, I am in favor of having the appropriate education levels in order to do the job safely and effectively, and not artificially inflating the educational requirements in hopes of getting higher pay rates, or for some other non-job …

Continuing education between an EMT and Paramedic.

Details: EMT’s also can’t intubate. You’ll need to wait until you’re a paramedic (or AEMT) to take those classes. If you are definitely going for Paramedic, I would focus on taking classes in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Sociology, Life Span Development, Nutrition, Pharmacology and Physics.

Requiring Post-High School education

Details: In most other countries medicine is an undergraduate degree of varying length (MBBS degree). However we also now need to compare the complete education system as different societies have different education systems completely. The UK education system isn't completely comparable to the US education system.

Free online NREMT Basic CEU's

A couple of examples of free CAPCE-accredited courses are below: - BoundTree "University" (I found 16 CEU offerings here) - Medic CE offers 1 free CEU class. - 24-7 EMS (shockingly, with as silly a name as they have, they're legitimate) offers some free CEUs, couldn't tell how many.

Education Standards Gap Analysis Documents Page 2 EMTLIFE

I been only remotely following the National Agenda and Scope over the years but it seems like a great deal of time and research has led up to this point. Nursing school counting as CEU

Details: This is akin to asking if paramedic school or medical school counts as EMT CEs. The only 3 acute pathologies are trauma, toxins and infection. The rest of the modern pathology requires years and decades to create an acute event; if possible to manage or reverse, it takes years. (paraphrase of Veneficus) Dec 11, 2016. #9.
